What is TRUST?
TRUST stands for The Recreational UAS Safety Test. It’s the FAA’s required aeronautical knowledge and safety test for people flying drones recreationally under the recreational exception.

Do I need TRUST if I already have Part 107?
If you’re operating under Part 107 rules, TRUST generally isn’t required for that operation. However, if you want to fly under the recreational exception (49 U.S.C. § 44809), the FAA notes that you must take and pass TRUST.
