This listing includes:

• Carefully grown and packed at Retreat at Hope Farm

Care instructions:
Place your papaya plants in bright sunlight or beneath a strong grow light. Keep them in a warm location and protect them from cold drafts. Water thoroughly when the upper portion of the soil begins to dry, but do not allow the pot to remain in standing water.

As the plants grow, they may remain together for a period of time or be carefully separated and transplanted into individual, larger containers. Papayas prefer rich, well-draining soil and warm growing conditions.

Papaya is a tropical plant and is sensitive to cold. In Tennessee and other cooler climates, plants may be grown outdoors during warm weather but should be moved indoors or into a heated greenhouse before temperatures become cold.

Important growing information:
These plants were grown from seeds collected from a commercially sold hybrid papaya. Seed-grown plants may display natural variation and may not produce fruit identical to the original parent fruit. Fruit production, fruit characteristics, plant sex, and eventual mature size cannot be guaranteed.

Shipping notice:
Live plants normally ship Monday through Wednesday to reduce the chance of weekend carrier delays. Orders may be temporarily held during extreme heat, freezing weather, severe storms, or major shipping disruptions to help protect the plants.

Please note:
Each plant is a living, naturally growing product. Height, leaf shape, color, fullness, and overall appearance will vary. Minor leaf yellowing, drooping, soil movement, or temporary shipping stress may occur during transit. After delivery, provide warmth, bright light, proper watering, and several days for the plants to adjust to their new environment.
