Cabin Stay Liability Waiver, Safety Agreement & Guest Acknowledgment

This Cabin Stay Liability Waiver, Safety Agreement, and Guest Acknowledgment applies to all overnight cabin guests, visitors, children, pets, vehicles, and personal property associated with the reservation at Retreat at Hope Farm.

This cabin-specific agreement is intended to be completed in conjunction with the main booking liability waiver, guest terms, and property policies provided on the Retreat at Hope Farm website. Together, these agreements help outline the guest’s responsibilities, property rules, safety expectations, payment terms, and assumption of risk while visiting or staying on the farm.

By submitting this agreement, I understand that Retreat at Hope Farm is a private working farm, rural retreat, lodging property, and agritourism location. I agree to follow all posted rules, written instructions, verbal safety directions, website policies, booking terms, and property policies during my stay.

This form must be completed before check-in. A reservation is not fully confirmed until Retreat at Hope Farm has approved the stay and received the required deposit, cleaning fee, full payment, or approved payment arrangement.

Tennessee Agritourism Warning Notice

WARNING: Under Tennessee law, there is no liability for an injury to or death of a participant, or damage to the property of a participant, in an agritourism activity conducted at this agritourism location or by this agritourism professional if such injury, death, or property damage results from the inherent risks of the agritourism activity.

Inherent risks of agritourism activities include, among others, risks of injury and damage inherent to land, equipment, and animals, as well as the potential for you to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to your injury or death or to the damaging of your own property. You are assuming the risk of participating in this agritourism activity.

Acknowledgment of Cabin, Farm & Rural Property Risks

I understand that Retreat at Hope Farm is a rural farm property and that my stay may include ordinary and unexpected risks associated with cabins, lodging, outdoor spaces, farm land, ponds, gravel roads, uneven ground, insects, wildlife, weather, animals, farm equipment, trees, wooded areas, steps, ramps, porches, decks, kitchens, bathrooms, electrical items, furniture, and other natural or man-made conditions.

I understand that conditions may change due to weather, darkness, rain, mud, wind, animals, insects, or ordinary farm activity. I agree to use reasonable care, watch my step, supervise children and pets, avoid restricted areas, and immediately report any unsafe condition I notice.

I understand that ponds, streams, ditches, fields, barns, equipment areas, animal areas, storage areas, and maintenance areas may present risks. I agree not to enter restricted areas, climb fences, approach equipment, enter barns or sheds without permission, swim in ponds, or allow children or pets to wander unsupervised.

Guest Rules, Safety & Property Use

• No smoking or vaping inside the cabin.
• No open flames, candles, incense, or unauthorized fire sources inside the cabin.
• Fire pits, grills, heaters, and outdoor cooking areas may only be used if approved and must be used safely.
• No parties, unauthorized events, or extra overnight guests without approval from Retreat at Hope Farm.
• Children must be supervised at all times.
• Pets must be approved, controlled, cleaned up after, and not left unattended unless approved.
• Guests may not enter restricted areas, barns, sheds, equipment zones, animal areas, water areas, or private farm work areas without permission.
• Quiet hours, parking instructions, check-in/check-out times, and all posted property rules must be followed.
• Illegal activity, unsafe behavior, property damage, threatening behavior, or violation of farm rules may result in removal from the property without refund.

Children, Minors & Pets

I understand that I am responsible for the safety, supervision, actions, and behavior of any children, minors, pets, or visitors included with my stay. I agree that children and pets must not be left unsupervised around ponds, farm land, driveways, roads, animals, equipment, fire areas, stairs, porches, decks, or restricted areas.

I agree to be financially responsible for any damage, excessive cleaning, missing items, pet damage, or rule violations caused by myself, my guests, children, pets, or visitors connected to my reservation.

Payment, Deposit, Damage & Missing Item Policy

I understand that submitting a booking request or waiver does not guarantee my reservation. My reservation is not confirmed until Retreat at Hope Farm reviews and approves my stay and receives the required deposit or full payment.

I understand that I may be responsible for charges related to property damage, missing items, excessive cleaning, unauthorized guests, pet damage, late check-out, rule violations, or other costs caused by myself, my guests, children, pets, or visitors connected to my reservation.

I understand that any refundable deposit may be held until the cabin and property are inspected after check-out. Any approved refund will be processed according to Retreat at Hope Farm’s stated policy and payment processing timelines.
